Roefl's Pixel Challenge!

You'll be pixeling an armor using an eo sprite, which can be found in lexie's pixeling guide.
you can make ANY armor/clothes you want, I'll be looking at:

*The design (make sure its not a recolor/edit) 3 Points
*The shading (I'll look at the technique I dont care if its bad or good) 3 Points
*Is it right Isometric? (for more info look lexie's guide please) 2 points
*be able to make back and front view, 2 points

If you make the 10 points succesfully I'll put you in the Showoff round and let people vote for you!
NOTE: Admins can participate but will get their own showoff poll.

Rules:
No stealing/editing
You CANNOT edit ur work once posted (But you can post more pixels tho, make sure it doesnt look like the others. also 1 will make it in showoffs)
No trolling or anything, I will remove you from this contest.

Ok, the red lines are the things that should be changed.
The pink lines are the things that should be removed and/or moved to the redlines.

ur shading TECHNIQUE is average/good you understand the meaning of the shading.
I give you 3 points for it.

the design =\ well im not so sure about that.. I see those are clothes.. but what are those lines? decoration?

where I put the arrow, there is ur mistake in the Isometric part, which you should remember.

and you made back & front = 2 points.

something else, you use to much colours in my opinion, try shading with 3 colours instead.
Also ur backview has different colour outlines.

Ok now the purple part = where you could use some shading.
It seems you forgot to shade ALLOT of parts.
It looks like you understand the shading technique, but on the otherside you do not =\.
If you havent read lexie's guide you should!

I'll give you 1 point for the shading.
I think the design could look awesome if you practiced some more, which I give 3 points for the design.

Ok now 1 thing has really bothered me, its the back I keep looking at the shoulder thing because it.. idk how to put it.
you should make it isometric, by following the lines of the body, 1 point.

also 1 point for the back, like you said ur not very good at the back, but keep trying and You'll improve!

total= 6 points.

roelf, you cant judge isometricness effectively, the base is barely iso, look at the eyeline, male chestline, female breast line, waist band on the underwear etc...

its like saying "heres an apple and pastry, now go make pumpkin pie" wut?

yea it's gotta be iso to an extent but still...

oi what program is that you are using to pixel?, i use photo shop but that one looks alot better for pixeling.

He's using GraphicsGale.

roelf and alot of other pixel artists use graphics gale, as it is designed mainly for pixel art

i use paint shop pro (& animation shop) , because it has all the features of graphics gale and most of the features of photoshop (which i never use in pixel art anyway)

About the "Isometricness" there is a way to judge it, if people simply draw a straight line it doesnt make it isometric.
It would look like the armor/cloth point out abit.. Idk how to put it xD

I don't really have to say much about it, It's crap.
Naah I kid you, its really great! I love the cape even more, you've done that really well
But I highlighted some small points, like under the belt you forgot the outline of the armor.
I bet it would look better if you changed it, also some forgotten pixels.

great job, I dont give points to admin/ex-admin. cuz it probably be all 10's

8* but thats not the point, If I would check them all first it would take me awhile.
Then ur missing the back sprites which would make you lose 2 points, then another 2 points and ur back at the other design.
Try making something new and post it here, I mean posting ur old stuff wont let you improve in pixeling.

the extra pixel below the hand is there to cover up part of the sprite base, guess it's part of the leg?
i dont know how i missed the one on the foot xD

and the line across the thigh plate thing... i dont really know what to say... i think it looks fine as is.... but ... yea.... maybe... hmmmmm guess it's just opinion?? 0.o


and I was just saying the sprite base isnt really iso, so the armors being iso is technically incorrct, or sumthin like that?

The shading, yea It kinda lacked shading, I saw you had some problems with shading before, so I made it purple to show you how it could've been shaded.
It really helped me improve when some1 made corrections for me, so I'll do it for you too. 1.

Ok there isnt really much things I can look at if im talking about "Isometricness" thats why you get 2 points.

Also you did the back, Its not really good but Thats simply because the wing and/or you need to practice some more, 1.

Total= 7.
