sorry to burst your bubble, but uhm all you did was just resize a sprite, and paste this[, found in rakuhana forums] on its' head. the reason why it doesn't look like the pixels in-game, is because it's not shaded properly, and it's not exactly isometric either.
i suggest working with the sizes that are already in-game, rather than either using enlarged sprites.

no i'm not. i thought you were saying that you made it from scratch. xD sorry.
you should try using the right sized sprite, or it might go bad when you resize the stuff you've made to fit in-game.

There's no shading on the homer simpson. Try working with graphicsgale. It's pretty useful when pixelling.

Shading is when you put colours on the armours to make it have a shadow effect, i think.

Yes, that's what shading is. You should put light yellow at the top left and the darker yellows at the bottom right.
